The following was written by Lorie Dunn, the daughter of Roland Barefoot:
Daddy was born on July 30, 1938, in Four Oaks, North Carolina, a small town near Benson.
He was the son of Eugene and Inez Barefoot. Roland was one of five children.
Roland and Linda C. Barefoot were married on December 22, 1963. Four years later they gave birth
to their first child, Roland Lee Barefoot, Jr. Eleven years later their second child was born, a daughter,
Lori Ann Barefoot Dunn.
Roland loved to hear The Glorymen sing. He was a big supporter and fan, and considered The Glorymen
as friends and family. During the time of his sickness, The Glorymen were there with support, prayers and love.
One of my father's greatest loves was The Glorymen.
Those who have given of themselves to others,
will live forever in every single heart they have touched.
This is the legacy of Roland Barefoot.
He was like a father to members of the Glorymen, he and his wife Linda have supported
The Glorymen from the beginning.
For this, and all he has done for us, we will never forget him
